This is the most common question we get:

Can anyone other than me do the translation and sign the document stating that they are a "Certified Translator"? How do I get this done?
The U.S. Immigration, Department of Homeland Security, Universities,Schools, only accept a translation that is certified by a certified translator. Usually comes on a company letter head, signature, and a seal. Do not waste your time trying to submit a translated document and not being certified.

1.) Where can I notarize a document?

You can notarize your document at any notary public. If you cannot find a notary public, start by visiting your local bank. They usually have notary public in the branch. The good part of it is that if you have an account with them, the notary is free!

2.) Are you a notary public?

No. We are a Brazilian Document translation agency that focus on providing certified translations from Portuguese to English. In fact, there is no indication that the USINS, Department of Homeland Security does not require to notarize the translation (unless specified by them). They do require certification.
